hey guys, new member here and looking for a little advice. Have a 98 A4 lingenfelter prepared. Am having problems keeping the serpintine belt from running up the face of my alternater. Was a new belt last year ( same as what came off). I put a steel straight edge across all the pulleys and they lined up perfectley. Any advice on what to look at? Any info would be grately appreciated!! U see I have a hard time keeping my foot off the pedal and this problem totally prohibits it!

Is this a supercharged vehicle or normally aspirated? What brand of belt and part number are you using.

This is a supercharged vehicle. What i have found out is that the tensioner is not stock, so i will be calling tommorow for a new one.

You can get pulleys with raises edges to help keep the belt where it belongs.
Might be a good idea to have you belt tensioner checked.
