I am looking to purchase a LNC-002. I need something very simple to pull about 5 degrees of timing while my N20 controller is active. I dont really like the thought of adding another Analog input in HPT to log and that my DashHawk wont show real timing, but I am leary about the IAT devices.

So to hook the LNC-002 up is it just a matter if installing in series with the coilpacks, powering the thing with accessory power and bringing two wires into the cab (one for arm/activate and one for the analog)?

I am currently running on a lazy tune and would rather have it switchable.

Also since I have nitrous is the Supression diodes required?

Thanks

Hi Rich, You would plug into the coil packs on each side. The LNC-002 gets its power from the coil pack harness. You then would connect the activate line to the NOS solenoid to trigger the box when the solenoid is active. You also should run the TVS diode kit PN L450080000. If you go to our web site under downloads there are all the instructions for Lingenfelter products. http://www.lingenfelter.com/downloads Please let us know if you have any other questions. So no wiring to accessory power? Where does the diode kit go?

Also I am assuming that the analog output shows timing removed. So if I moved my cursor to a location in HPT and could see 27 degrees of advance I would look for the LNC chart and see there was 5 pulled I would know there is 22 actual?

More I am thinking about it, not sure the analog will help me if it works that way. Since I plan to pull 5 across the board above 3600. Guess its nice to know where it kicks in at.

Correct there is no wiring to accessory power. The TVS diode goes across your solenoid connections. It does not matter which direction you put it as long as you keep it close to the solenoid. Yes the analog output will show how much timing the LNC-002 is removing and you are correct in your HP Tuners program on actual timing. Here is an example wiring diagram.
