I've decided to go with the Grand Sport instead of modifying my 07. Can you explain why the packages have the same hp numbers for LS2 and LS3? What is expected of the LS3 with the 2300 sc? I notice that you get more out of it than Callaway. Can you comment on that? Would a cat back Corsa Touring exhaust change this? You (or Kevin) had mentioned a prototype hood that you were working with. Any pics on that yet? My favorite from what I've seen is the MCM hood. They said they would have a version to fit the 2300 this month.

The LS2 TVS2300 Corvette supercharger package is rated at 630 hp at the crankshaft and they typically will come in around 530 horsepower and 475 lbs ft of torque at the rear wheels. The LS3's with the TVS2300 are capable of more but we do set a target horsepower and tune the car to meet the target numbers. The LS3's will make about 20 lbs ft of torque more than the earlier LS2's tuned the same. The LPE packages are warranted for 3/36 which is the reason we stick to targeted hp and not go for the maximum the engine will put out. The Corsa cat back is our choice for this package and was installed on the Corvette that is represented on the dyno sheet for that package (http://www.lingenfelter.com/images/LS3TVS2300C6MT_1400.jpg). We do have a prototype hood here that we need to try on a vehicle to check for clearance and hopefully this will get done some time in the next few weeks. In regards to Callaway's power numbers, LPE does upgrade several components from what the base kit includes and each car is custom tuned so you will have different power as well as improved driveablity results from what others may offer.
