I have an LPE cold air box in my 2007 V. I would like to know if it would be additionally beneficial if I were to change the stock intake tube to aftermarket round tubing in 3.5" diameter (assuming the tubing is properly insulated)? Moreover, would there be a greater benefit if the engine had additional modifications?

Looks like you tried to respond, but what happened was multiple threads that I can't read.

In applications with stock or lightly modified engines we have not seen much of a restriction from the stock air intake tubes on the CTS-V with the LS6 or LS2.
In the LPE CTS-V supercharger (http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages/cadillac/cadillac-cts-v-2004-2007/2006-2007-ls2-590-hp-tvs1900-supercharger) packages we run the Magnuson tube and the LPE air intake. For our 620 HP 427 CID NA engine package we fabricate an air intake duct from alumium tube and the LPE air intake.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if building an insulated DIY intake tube was worth the money and labor.
On another note, do you know the dimensions of the OEM thermostat's valve compared to the one you sell? I ask since most of the aftermarket thermostats to which I've compared the OEM stat appear to be a bit more of a restriction in flow.
