Have you ever wanted to know where the clunk noise came fromm when you released the clutch. WELL my friend i am about to share my wisedom with you...
If you were to ever look under the car you will see the followin,
Engine, Transmission, Driveshaft and Diff
So lets look more closely...The engine is on Rubber mounts, maybe its comin from there, well not really but another issue will arise from that...
Its not comin from the tranny for its not hittin anything as it turns due to torque...
That leaves you with the Diff. The clunk comes from a silly rubber bushin from the front passenger side mount. Its a pathetic GM attempt to make right what is wrong. Instead of a Poly urethane bushin they went cheap. well there is a fix, and it doesnt transmit more then 10-20% of road noise. Not to mention it helps minimize diff movement and ultimately failure...
I hope i have helped you out with your ride
