I recently purchased a USED lingenfelter 403 LS2 engine. it is the 525 403 LS2 package.

I only purchased the SHORT BLOCK, I got it at a good deal because it spun a bearing and probably needs a new crank.

The questions I have are

1. If I purchase a new callies compstar crank will it need any machining to be balenced with the engine? or will it work out of the box.

2. I plan to use stage 2.5 LS2 heads I belive this is close to the LS2 heads that originally came with it but I am unsure of the compression ratio this engine has with LS2 heads.

3. Will my LS1 coil packs and ls6 intake work on it for now until I upgrade?

I also plan to use CTS-V Lifters, stock length pushrolds (7.400) double roller timing chain, and a LS6 ported oil pump do these seem to be good choices?

also a recommendation on new bearings if someone recommendes replacing all of them

Changing the crankshaft will require you to have the rotating assembly re-balanced.

We can look up the compression ratio of the pistons if you can let us know the Job number that should be stamped on the block in front of the cylinder head on the passenger side.

The LS1 coils and LS6 intake manifold will work fine on this build.

I would suggest the CTS-V lifters, Comp 7.400 pushrods, the GM High Volume Oil Pump Kit (http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LPE&Product_Code=L200135297&Category_Code=) with the standard pressure spring and the best timing chain on the market is the C5 R Heavy Duty Timing Chain by IWIS and the timing gears listed here (http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LPE&Product_Code=HME-G68V-2&Category_Code=)
