I’m sure modifying the LS3 is old hat for you guys. I’ve ordered an Auto with the L99 which is the new kid on the block, so I’m sure those of us with L99s on order are very interested to hear what might be in for your future development beyond your initial basic/bolt on offering. The VVT employed by the L99 seems to have great potential if piston clearances can be maintained. The AFM on the other hand seems to hinder overall RPM which limits potential (though personally I’d like to retain it for the mileage benefits). Will Lingenfelter, who often goes where no man has gone before (sorry Star Trek) come out with some additional options for us L99 owners to help us stay on par with our LS3 brothers (oops and sisters)?
P.S. what do you think the Tranny can handle?

Word has it that GM is delaying the Z/28 and the fifth gen 'vert due to.... surprise... funding.

I live down the street from a Chevy dealer... and I no longer drive that way purposely because I know what will happen... I'll whip in and order a black-on-black SS Camaro with six-speed Hurst manual and have it dropshipped to Lingenfelter for a "tune-up."

Then I'll badge it as a Z/28 just to drive the Camaro fanaticals to higher levels of (insert your own metaphor).

That means trading in the daily driver... a Hummer H3... and beginning a new hobby... collecting autographs of local police officers.

In all reality, I can't wait to see what the capabilities are for a Lingenfelter engineered Camaro.... especially now that the Z/28 is possibly on the backburner.

I too cant wait to see what you offer for the L99 Automatic transmission setup for the SS Camaro.

Mine is still on pre-order (ordered October 16th) and hoping you will be coming up with the price list soon before mine makes it to production. Why? Because I would like to "drop ship" (I think thats whats its called) my car directly from the factory to your shop instead of it being shipped all the way to Hawaii and then me having to pay for shipment back to your shop. That would save me alot of cash if possible.

I was surprised to see that one of the packages wasn't a normally aspirated LS7 swap. So, I was wondering how much you would charge to swap your 630hp LS7 crate motor and what additional components would be needed for the swap. I was assuming a full exhaust system would be needed as well as a CAI kit, but what about the computer?

Oh, and would any of the LS7 packages retain the dry-sump oiling system or will you be going with wet-sump?

We will offer a LS7 swap with similar horsepower and torque to what we have on the C6 ZO6 packages. 630 HP would be the most likely target. We will come up with pricing asap. We also will need to see if we have packaging room for the dry sump tank so we can retain that feature. Headers and a good cat back like the Corsa system would be needed in this package.

What would happen with the LS3? Would LPE offer to buy it from me or could I put it on ebay and have it shipped out from your shop after the project was complete?

Also, is there any plans to update the LS7 package you offer with FAST's new 102mm intake?

LPE in the past has figured in a value for the original engine and then deducted that to arrive at the retail base price of the package. In regards to the Fast Intake we need to do more engine dyno testing with this new Fast 102 mm intake before we make the decision to offer this on packages.
