View Full Version : weakness to c5 rear end!

I am in the middle changing heads cam project! Should be making 425hp to the wheels, picking up set of drag tires! Just thought put this out there ,can some one tell me what is the weakness to the rear end,and what i should be doing!:eek:

The left side output shaft is the most common to break. We highly recommend these if the car is going to be on the track. The right side is also a good idea to change while you are there. It is a 1 piece cast gear combined with a shaft from the factory, and we replace it with a more durable 2 piece set up. See the links below for more information and pictures!

Hi Kevin! one more question to the input shaft replacement, Does the ring gear and pinon set need to be set back up!

No sir! Just changing the shafts will not affect anything with the ring and pinion.
