Thread: 2012 CTS-V 630HP Upgrade Kit - DYNO TEST

    Default 2012 CTS-V 630HP Upgrade Kit - DYNO TEST

    Hello - I have a 2012 CTS-V Sedan . . . automatic.

    I had the Lingenfelter 630HP upgrade kit (pulley, intake, thermostat, filter) installed with the ECU tuning software . . . I was wondering if anyone who has installed it can tell me what their's does on the Dyno. Mine Dyno'd at 505 HP and 505 Torque - which seemed low to me . . . but the shop I was at contends that their Dyno reads about 20-30 HP lower than most.

    Thanks!

    That does seem very low. We saw 477hp and 501lb/ft at wheels on a stock ZL1. 492/513.6 with a canned tune. Your horsepower should be about 50 higher then that. Have you done any data logging? I'm wondering if you might be getting some knock retard. I was getting a fair amount until we tuned it out.

    I'll be dynoing mine in a couple of weeks, but its not gonna show anything related to yours. I have the equivalent to LPEs 650hp package (9.55" crank pulley, 95# injectors), with a better intake, better heat exchanger and CMR tune.

    [QUOTE=JSE;2216]Hello - I have a 2012 CTS-V Sedan . . . automatic.

    I just had my 2011 CTS-V manual done here in Denver. It Dyno'd at 557 RWHP and 556 Torque. I would think the altitude may take some of the power away? It seems like something is wrong with either your tune or their Dyno. I had Lingenfelter send the ECU with their base tune here but was causing some crazy spark nock and needed to be retuned here. Crazzy fast now!

    My 2012 CTS-V (automatic) is at the dyno now, & I am hoping for 525-550 RWHP (corrected) with the LPE 630 HP kit. It made 474 RWHP, stock. Good luck.

    So what did the Dyno show today? Thanks.

    473 RWHP & 474 RWTQ "Before", and 531 RWHP & 545 RWTQ "After". Lingenfelter 630 HP Kit, nothing else, installed by Futral Motorsports, Walker, LA. It was & still is a BEAST...LOL. Only in America...

    Does anyone know what Bosst level the 2012 Caddy CTS-V makes "stock", & then "after" the above described changes to the Pulley, K&N, PCM, etc.? See the Before & After HP & Trq #s above also. Thanks for sharing.

    8.5psi stock. Should be around 12 with a 2.55 upper, 13.5 with a 9.55 lower and stock upper (650hp kit).

    Thanks. My 650 HP kit was installed by Futral Motorsports, purchased from Lingenfelter, & the stock Boost gauge is "pegged" at 15# when I stand on it. This was kinda surprising to me, especially after I see your quote of 13.5# with a 9.55 lower & stock upper. Maybe the calibration is off a tad on the Boost gauge, or maybe it indeed is making slightly more Boost than expected. Iwas very pleased with the "after" # I quoted above from the dyno session.

    Thanks again!
