Thread: Heat Issue

  1. #1

    Default Heat Issue

Due to the crampness of the engine compartment, your options are limited and well TIGHT!!!

Ron Davis is the only company that makes a high capacity rad...I would recommend also installin the LPE oil cooler adaptor with an oil cooler of proper size...

Lastly it would also be a great idea to change the hood to a heat extractin style where the hot air has somewhere to go instead of bakin ontop of the engine...

The installation of headers also helps reduce heat issues to the point where you are not cookin anything as well...

One good thing to minimize heat in the engine bay is to add heat reflective foil, Like i did. I scored DEI gold reflective material and to be honest it is doing the trick in keeping my engine bay cooler than before.

Its costly in man hours but will save you a bundle later in time

Removing that front mounted license plate, if possible, well greatly help in keeping the engine cooler...just ask Nascar.
