Woodward Dream Cruise August 20, 2011

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is coming back for the Woodward Dream Cruise on August 20th, 2011. Once again, we will be set up at the Burger King near 13 Mile accross from Duggan's Pub. The address is 31456 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oaks, MI.

Last year, we had a combination of rain and shine, which didn't stop the cruisers, and 1.5 million enthusiasts from making the trip to Michigan's iconic avenue from Ferndale to Pontiac

The 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise was another exceptional event that had 30,000+ vehicles and over 1,000,000 people in attendance. The weather started out really nice Saturday with blue sky’s & a slight breeze to keep it comfortable. LPE had our display at the Burger King in Royal Oak, Michigan with 5 Lingenfelter vehicles. The cruising went on from the time we arrived at 6:30 AM until the monsoon hit at 5:00 PM forcing everyone to take cover for about 45 minutes. After the storm ended the local police decided that due to numerous power outages in the area it was best to end the cruise early. After our second prompting by the local authorities on motorcycles we headed back to the Collection to put the cars away for the night.

The weather was fantastic until close to 4pm when 60 MPH winds caused significant damage in the areas around Royal Oak, including uprooting a few trees, and downed power lines.

Up until that point, the crowed was fantastic! As Tim said, it was great meeting so many people who took the time to stop by to see us, and the cars.
