Question about ECM programming.

I have a Volvo Penta ECM that needs the program changed to match the new cam I had installed. (this is a marine engine, 5.7 GSi)
Volvo has the ECM password protected. If it is impossible for me change this program, can I install a new ECM that is programmable? Any advice on what might work?

Tough question! We are not familiar with the Volvo ECM's. Can you send me a picture to kjeffrey@lingenfelter.com and I will see if we can point you in the right direction.
