Cylinder Head Porting & Preparation
Lingenfelter's CNC porting procedure is a computer controlled machining operation that duplicates exact details from a finished LPE hand ported cylinder head. Hand porting is a very labor intensive and time consuming procedure that takes years to perfect. By CNC porting the cylinder heads the high cost of hand porting is reduced, plus the CNC porting is more consistent and will produce better results. Each CNC ported cylinder head will have the exact same port and chamber configuration as the original master used to develop the CNC program.
Following porting each head receives:
Precision 3 angle valve job to maximize flow & provide extended life CC checking chamber size for correct compression Surfacing to insure deck flatness Professional assembly, setting spring height & retainer to guide clearance.
