Purchasing Analyst
Location: Brighton, MI

This position will perform centralized replenishment functions for all locations, including creation of purchase orders, transfers, item maintenance, returns processing, and various projects as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create or Approve system generated Purchase Orders and/or Transfers by reviewing exceptions.
- Management of Vendor Lead Times for accuracy and on-time performance
- Manage multiple location inventories to an appropriate service level and annual turns
- Work with multiple locations and multiple vendors to expedite receipt of orders
- Recognize Seasonal and/or Demand Variances, and react appropriately
- Work proactively to maintain proper service levels (includes New Business, and Seasonal/Demand Variances.)
- Keep Purchasing Manager advised of any issues or delays, associated with Purchase Orders/Transfers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Technically savvy with ability to work on a computer, specifically with SAP B1
- Understanding of core principles of inventory replenishment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail orientated, accurate, flexible
- Strong math aptitude
- Ability to meet short deadlines

- Bachelor's Degree with Business emphasis or equivalent experience
- Previous Experience as Purchasing Agent / Inventory Coordinator
- 3-5 years experience in Automotive industry strongly preferred
