LPE Today

LPE Assets, an LLC owned by Ken Lingenfelter and an affiliate of Metropolitan Motor Sports LLC, announced in September, 2008 that it has acquired Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) from an unrelated third party. LPE was most recently owned by shareholders in Indiana and Tennessee.

Ken Lingenfelter, who is also the owner of the Lingenfelter Collection - a collection of Corvettes, muscle and exotic cars - reviewed various ways to maximize the corporate value and growth opportunities of LPE, and commented: "This acquisition is the culmination of a diligent and thoughtful process and I believe it is in the best interest of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. I am confident that our innovative products, talented employees and worldwide customer base will be key contributors to the future success of LPE."

With this acquisition, Lingenfelter intends to continue and build on LPE's worldwide track record in performance engineering.

The company offers engine building, engine and chassis tuning components and installation for vehicle owners; component product development; services to manufacturers, aftermarket and original equipment suppliers; prototype and preparation of product development vehicles; late product life-cycle performance improvements; durability testing; and show and media event vehicles.
