Product update - January 2008 - The original Lingenfelter designed TPI intake manifold base has been discontinued by Accel and is no longer sold by LPE.

The ORIGINAL Lingenfelter designed base intake manifold was designed in 1990 and was production cast at an aluminum foundry in Ohio, then machined at a CNC facility in Fort Wayne Indiana for Lingenfelter. The ORIGINAL TPI base intake product was not the same as any other products on the market and not made by Edelbrock, which has its own version of a TPI base intake part number EDL3860.

After the Lingenfelter fuel injection component line was acquired by Accel, Lingenfelter no longer controlled the manufacturing of these products.

Recently, Accel has apparently stopped the production of the ORIGINAL TPI intake manifold and is now re boxing the Edelbrock TPI base intake as an Accel product.

Lingenfelter’s now use and sell the Edelbrock TPI base intake manifold part number EDL3860.

The ORIGINAL SuperRam manifold base was designed to increase power from 1600 RPM to redline. A fully ported stock L-98 factory casting is just no match for this base intake. Increased port volume and improved runner contours boost air velocity and improve the charging effect of the cylinders. Installation of the SuperRam intake base on a stock L-98 350 cid will yield 15 - 20 hp in most applications. The base accepts the stock distributor, sensors, fuel rails and supports the EGR system. Can be used with the stock runners, High Flow runners or SuperRam plenum runner kit.
